South Coast Plaza said it has inked a deal to get Orange County’s first West Elm store.
West Elm, which is owned by Williams-Sonoma Inc. – also the parent company of Pottery Barn, sells furniture, bedding, decorative accessories, lighting, cookware and dinnerware. The 13,000-square-foot West Elm store is anticipated to open this fall on the second floor of the former Borders location. The West Elm store will be above the newly opened Anthropologie in the Macy’s Home/Crate & Barrel wing of the shopping center.
In 2002, the West Elm brand was launched as a catalog. The following year, it launched its web site and opened its first store.
